Registration & Payment

Select the EMDR Therapy Basic Training option you would like to purchase. At checkout, enter your email address and name, create your password, and complete payment.

After completing your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. Please reply to that email with the Part 1 and/or Part 2 training dates you plan to attend. Your registration for those dates will then be confirmed.

Accessing Course Materials

After registration, log in using the email address and password you created during checkout. Select your course from your account to access the training modules and course materials.

Consultation: Required consultation sessions are conducted live via Zoom from 8:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

Registration & Payment Policy

Registration Deadline: Registration and payment are due no later than 15 days prior to the training, provided space is available. Registration may close earlier if the training reaches capacity.

Cancellation & Transfer Policy

Cancellations received 30 days or more prior to the training are eligible for a refund.

Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the training are nonrefundable. However, the registration fee may be transferred as a credit toward another eligible EMDR Therapy Basic Training offered by Kight Training & Consulting, LLC within 12 months of the original training date.

Registrations made within 30 days of the training are nonrefundable at the time of registration, but may be eligible for transfer to another training within the 12-month period described above.

No-shows and cancellations on or after the first day of training are not eligible for a refund or transfer credit.

“When standard EMDR reprocessing feels like too much for the client, what else can I do?”

An Additional Phase 2 Tool for Complex Trauma

Learn a gentle intervention for clients who have difficulty tolerating the level of activation that can occur during trauma-focused reprocessing.

Some clients with complex, chronic, or debilitating trauma histories may become overwhelmed, highly activated, shut down, or unable to remain within a tolerable level of distress when approaching traumatic material. For these clients, moving directly into standard EMDR reprocessing may be difficult.

The Flash Technique provides EMDR-trained clinicians with an additional Phase 2 intervention that may help reduce the intensity associated with disturbing memories while minimizing direct, prolonged engagement with the traumatic material.

This training may be especially useful when working with clients who:

Become quickly overwhelmed or highly activated when approaching traumatic memories
Have difficulty tolerating standard trauma reprocessing
Avoid approaching traumatic material because it feels too distressing
Need additional preparation and stabilization before proceeding with EMDR reprocessing

Heather V. Kight, LCSW is an experienced clinician, EMDRIA Approved Trainer and Consultant who has spent more than 27 years in the mental health field and has been practicing EMDR therapy since 2005.

Since 2012, Heather has trained clinicians in EMDR therapy with an emphasis on helping therapists move beyond simply learning the protocol to developing the clinical confidence, judgment, and skills needed to apply EMDR thoughtfully in real-world practice.

Her trainings integrate the AIP model, clinical case conceptualization, practical application, and current EMDR research while creating a supportive learning environment where clinicians can ask questions, practice skills, and strengthen their confidence.

Heather is passionate about helping clinicians become not only trained in EMDR therapy, but confident in knowing how and when to use it with the clients they serve.
